Not Answering Pre-Marriage Questions Before Marriage Could Be Hazardous

Every newlywed couple has the same dream of a perfect marriage. Many fail to address the important step of examining their compatibility, however. There are plenty of marriage compatibility tests and questionnaires that couples can take on the internet. Some are more scientific than others, but none of them are guaranteed to help a couple determine whether or not their marriage will be a success.

Many couples would never think of delaying their marriage to answer a series of questions or delve into their personal goals or dreams that drive their everyday life. This could be where so many couples go wrong.

Every married couple, no matter how long they have been married, is going to have a financial dispute at some point in their lives. It may be as simple as someone over spending or someone being a bit too uptight. In many cases, financial arguments are a major factor in relationship disputes.

It’s a well-known adage that money can't buy happiness and, in fact, money is the primary cause of divorce in America right now. Despite this, it is a cause that can be avoided with proper planning.

Marriage Compatibility Quizzes An Effective Means Of Determining Possible Future Issues

Are there a certain 100 questions before marriage that a couple can ask to really determine how their marriage will end up? Many publications will insist that they have the definitive pre-marriage questions that will allow couples to analyze their chances effectively and precisely.

Nearly all of the tests have one thing in common -  the tests are not about a pair of people, but two separate individuals. Many couples lose sight of their individuality when they decide to get married. They fail to ask how their lives will change personally.

A good marriage quiz helps determine if each person’s goals in life will work in unison with the other's. It is important to address a multitude of life goals for each couple. Most marriage quizzes ask whether both individuals have the same family goals.

Does one want children while the other does not?  Does one prefer to live in a condo in the city and the other in a house in the country? Many couples mistakenly assume they can figure all of these issues out after they are married. After all, nothing can stand in the way of love, right?

While the statistics for divorce are usually greatly exaggerated, only about one quarter of people who have been married have also been divorced, the odds of a successful marriage decrease significantly if couples don’t also examine their personality compatibility in a marriage.

If one person prefers to go to parties on the weekend and the other person prefers to stay at home with a book and a glass of champagne, the couple may come into conflict after some time of this back-and-forth juggling of priorities.

Discussing Finance Before Marriage Could Alleviate Future Stress

Many couples take a marriage compatibility test for many reasons. For some it is to determine if personal goals are the same. Do both individuals want kids? Do both want to live in a house rather than a condo in the city?

Included in most questions before marriage are at least a few financial questions. A marriage quiz which does not address money is missing a major point in marriage compatibility. Money is what drives the world, and in the same sense, what drives a marriage. Without financial stability, a marriage will simply fall flat on it's face.

Most couples do not talk about money before marriage. Any series of pre-marriage questions should include more than a few related to money matters. While many couples start off their relationship thinking they will never let money get in the way, it always has some noticeable impact on marriages overall.

Money is part of our personality and needs to be addressed in any marriage quiz. Is one of the individuals a saver and the other a spender? Something that may not seem important immediately in a relationship could become problematic when one person wants to start a college fund for their future children and the other wants to buy a boat. While it may sound silly, it is a very real problem in many marriages.

Money differences, like everything else addressed in a marriage compatibility quiz, are easy to overcome. Just because two people have different uses or desires for their money doesn’t necessarily mean that a relationship is doomed.

Marriage is all about compromise and money is one of the easiest things to compromise. It is far easier for a spender to spend only half as much and save the other half than it is for a person to change a major part of their personality.

Spending Time Asking Pre-Marriage Questions Is Investing Into Your Lifetime Of Happiness

While money is the cause of many major relationship problems, it is usually addressed in any good marriage compatibility test and is a big part of compatibility in marriage. Thus, it doesn't have to be a big source of grief for the two parties involved.

If most couples would only take the time to ask the important pre-marriage questions about money, they will find it is a simple problem to fix in general. In our society it is unavoidable that money will cause some tension in any married couple's household - but it can be a comfort to a new couple to know that it is one problem that is easier to get a hold of than a dispute between personalities.

Whilst marriage is not an exact science and no marriage compatibility test is going to make or break a marriage, they do contain important questions which a couple needs to address. Ignoring compatibility before getting married is a risky move. Whether it is in the form of a marriage compatibility test or just a few pre-marriage questions, every couple should take the time to ask the important questions. After all, an entire lifetime of happiness could be at stake here.
